NMU uses applicant score. NMU adds the raw percentages from your best 6 eligible subjects instead of converting everything into a plain 42 point APS. Life Orientation is excluded from the main total, but some applicants can receive an LO equity bonus. Applicants from Quintile 1 to 3 schools can get an extra bonus when Life Orientation is 50% or higher.

Get help on WhatsAppNMU does not use the 42 point scale. Its Applicant Score adds the raw percentages of six 20 credit subjects, so the maximum is 600. Life Orientation is excluded because it is a 10 credit subject, but applicants from a quintile 1, 2 or 3 school who score 50% or more for Life Orientation get 7 extra points.
